I still haven't thought of a name for this.
Anyway Chelsea here! I'm back from my vacation and of course this was the time that the Leverage twitters exploded and everyone put up fantastic pictures and videos. Agggggh! Concon also happened to there was a great deal of information given, and we were all just dying of jealousy over here not to be there.
Tim put up a few adorable videos with music he added.

3. One of Jonathan Frakes and Gina Bellman being cute on the set.
4. A video of Christian doing an action scene and then making a hilarious face.
Tim put up a few pictures of ConCon and so did Dean. You can see them at the top. Man, we absolutely have to go to ConCon next year. There's no way around it! Maybe we'll even record a podcast while there? Eh? You know it!
You missed a heckuva great time, I'll tell you. Stars were amazing, Rogers and Devlin were amazing, TNT, the cocktail party, and the banquet were amazing, and just the great, GREAT, fans were all terrific.
ReplyDeleteI actually was hoping that you'd be there, to record a podcast. TNT did a number of interviews, and there's apparently going to be a DVD release specifically of the Con, in addition to some scenes on the third season DVD.
Hack a 'puter, steal a plane, fall back on Plan M if you have to, but if they have another ConCon next year (and Dean and Co. sounded positive, assuming they get the 4th season pickup...), find a way to GET THERE next year! I'll see you there....
We can't tell you how jealous we are of you, twonkbot! We see all the pictures and videos and just die a little inside. Any spoilers you might've heard you can tell us about?
ReplyDeleteNext year we're already talking about trying to be there and record a podcast. It seems crazy that we're obviously such big fans of the show and we couldn't go to it! Ahhh! don't worry, we'll find our way to con ourselves in next time. And of course it'll be picked up for a 4th season, we're all in it for the long haul!

ReplyDeleteDuring the set tour, we all got to see a set with a hole that had been "blasted" in the roof... it was a vault that had musical terms on the doors of the locked files, which means that it was likely sheet music or somesuch... rumor has it that they have to steal a Stradivarius violin, and that one of the team actually has a previously unknown talent that will be showcased in the ep! (How do you hack a violin, anyway?)
Also, there's an ep idea they'd LIKE to do this season, assuming they can get it scripted properly. This season's "bottle episode" (done entirely on-set) would be the Leverage version of the Japanese classic "Rashomon", which is about telling the same story from a number of different viewpoints. The Leverage take on this would be, "What if the team ALMOST met each other five years ago, when they were all trying to steal the same item on the same night?" Each act would be one of them telling their part of the story, and they would all dovetail at the end with Nate's version of what really happened....
Lots of other little things along the way. The FBI guys will be back at some point, we get 16 hours and 15 eps (a two-hour ep in December, apparently), and there will hopefully be a holiday themed ep planned in there somewhere.
Uncertain about the specifics of the split-season, but likely 10 or so eps in summer, and then a shorter winter run.
They're very happy with the way things are going, and I think they were overjoyed with the response of the fans at ConCon. They also hope for an early renewal notice from TNT for their fourth season, and it may, MAY, even be a 2-season renewal order so they can lock up contracts and such, assuming ratings hold.

AND YAY FBI GUYS COMING BACK.
I really hope they get what they want and have two seasons secured. All of their fans are very loyal and I doubt their ratings will drop significantly over the years.
